Dry Eye Syndrome Symptoms
Disease description:
My eyes have been very dry and fatigued recently, and I was diagnosed with dry eye syndrome. I would like to know what are the symptoms of dry eye syndrome?

Dry eye syndrome, also known as keratoconjunctivitis sicca, is mainly characterized by the following symptoms:
1. Dry eyes: A sensation of insufficient lubrication in the eyes, with feelings of foreign body presence or stinging.
2. Fluctuating vision: Vision that alternates between clear and blurry, especially after using electronic devices.
3. Red and swollen eyes: Eye congestion caused by inflammation on the eye surface.
4. Light sensitivity: Increased sensitivity to light compared to before, with vision affected under bright light.
5. Reduced blinking: The average person blinks 15-20 times per minute, but patients with dry eye syndrome may experience insufficient tear secretion due to decreased blink frequency.
6. Burning or irritation: Discomfort on the eye surface, with a sensation similar to touching a hot object.
Note: If these symptoms occur, especially if they persist, prompt medical attention is advised.
