What causes pain near the testicles?
Disease description:
I don't have testicular pain, but the pain near the testicles is quite noticeable. I'd like to know what could be causing pain near the testicles.
Pain near the testicles is generally caused by conditions such as distal ureteral stones or varicocele. Distal ureteral stones can radiate pain to the testicular area, causing symptoms like lower back pain, frequent urination, and urgency. Varicocele can also lead to pain around the testicles. In more severe cases of varicocele, the dilated blood vessels within the scrotum may be palpable; the discomfort often improves with rest but worsens after standing or physical activity. A B-ultrasound examination is recommended for accurate diagnosis.
