It is recommended to go to the hospital for a urine test; the presence of a urinary tract infection can be determined based on levels of white blood cell count, leukocyte esterase, and bacteriuria. It could also be chronic prostatitis, which may simultaneously cause symptoms such as whitish discharge during urination and pelvic pain. Urethritis can also present with these symptoms, usually due to poor personal hygiene, insufficient water intake, and bacterial infection.
