Main causes that may lead to urethral pain:

1. Dietary factors: Recent consumption of spicy foods, along with continuous tobacco and alcohol irritation, may cause mild inflammation of the urethra, resulting in a burning sensation during urination.

2. Insufficient water intake: If fluid intake is consistently low, urine may become concentrated, thereby irritating the urethral tissues and causing mild pain.

3. Urinary tract infection: This is one of the most common causes, including cystitis and pyelonephritis. Bacterial infections can cause inflammation of the urethra, bladder, kidneys, or ureters, leading to symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, pain during urination, and cloudy urine.

4. Sexually transmitted infections: Such as gonorrhea, non-gonococcal urethritis, and genital herpes. These infections can not only cause urethral pain but may also be accompanied by symptoms such as increased discharge and redness or swelling of the urethral opening.

5. Chemical irritation: Chemical components in medications, condoms, or lubricants may cause allergic reactions in the urethra, resulting in pain.
