Ovarian cysts require testing for tumor markers. If diagnosed as pathological cysts, tumor markers can help determine whether they are benign or malignant. For benign ovarian cysts smaller than 5 cm with normal tumor markers, follow-up observation and medical suppression therapy may be recommended. However, if the ovarian cyst is larger than 5 cm, shows significant growth over a short period, or causes symptoms such as abdominal pain or cyst torsion, laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery is required.
