Can staying up late cause an increase in gamma-glutamyl transferase?
Disease description:
During this period, my sleep schedule has been particularly irregular. My体检 showed elevated levels of gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT). Can staying up late cause an increase in GGT?
Staying up late may lead to elevated levels of gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT). Long-term sleep deprivation can cause abnormal liver function, thereby increasing GGT levels. Additionally, elevated GGT levels may also result from other factors such as alcoholic liver disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, drug-induced liver injury, or fatty liver.
