Jaundice hepatitis is usually caused by infection with hepatitis viruses. The virus enters the bloodstream and then invades the liver, triggering an immune response in the body, leading to inflammatory changes in liver tissue and damage to hepatocytes. This impairs the liver's excretory function, causing a large accumulation of bilirubin in the blood, resulting in jaundice and thus jaundice hepatitis. Additionally, conditions such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and metabolic syndrome, or long-term excessive use of drugs that are harmful to the liver, may cause metabolic disturbances and liver damage, leading to the development of jaundice hepatitis.
