Causes of perianal cysts

Perianal cysts are mostly caused by inflammatory stimulation or infected sebaceous cysts. Infection-related perianal cysts may also result from improper surgical procedures, such as hemorrhoidectomy or vaginal surgery, which can lead to perianal abscess formation. Most perianal cysts require surgical excision and drainage to thoroughly remove the pus. Postoperative anti-inflammatory drug therapy is necessary. The local wound should be regularly dressed and disinfected to prevent infection. Keep the area clean and dry, wear loose cotton underwear, and avoid friction that may cause wound bleeding.
