How is sacroiliac joint arthritis developed?
Disease description:
I always feel intermittent pain in my back. After a hospital examination, I was diagnosed with sacroiliac arthritis. I would like to know what causes sacroiliac arthritis?
Sacral arthritis is primarily associated with local trauma, and secondary arthritis may develop during the recovery process. Secondly, some patients may develop inflammation after being exposed to cold. Finally, autoimmune factors can also cause this condition. Prolonged standing, walking, excessive exercise, and overexertion can repeatedly rub and compress the articular cartilage of the sacroiliac joint. Over time, this leads to cartilage damage, production of inflammatory cytokines, and consequently local pain and functional impairment.
