What should I do for C4, C5, C6 cervical disc herniation?
Disease description:
I previously thought I only had a cervical disc herniation, but I never expected it to be at the C4, C5, and C6 levels. What should I do about C4, C5, and C6 cervical disc herniations?
Patients with C4-C5-C6 cervical disc protrusion should avoid frequently bending their heads to use mobile phones. They should maintain an upright head posture, engage in appropriate aerobic exercise, and receive physical therapy when necessary. Oral medications such as muscle relaxants and neurotrophic agents may be taken to relieve muscle spasms. Medications like horse chestnut seed extract tablets or ibuprofen can be used, or mannitol may be administered via injection. For long-standing conditions, cervical traction therapy may be considered.
