Acute drug intoxication requires emergency treatment such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and induced vomiting. If breathing or heartbeat stops, immediate CPR should be initiated along with administration of emergency medications such as epinephrine. In conscious patients, drugs can be removed through measures like induced vomiting and catharsis, while blood purification via hemodialysis may also be performed to achieve detoxification. Other treatment methods mainly include antispasmodic and analgesic therapy, antiemetic and antidiarrheal treatments, and protection of liver and kidney functions.
