What is emergency nursing care for cardiac arrest?
Disease description:
Recently, I wanted to learn about medical knowledge: what is the emergency care for cardiac arrest?
Emergency care for cardiac arrest includes chest compressions and artificial respiration. If a patient experiences cardiac arrest, chest compressions should be initiated immediately. The patient should be laid flat on their back with a firm surface placed underneath. CPR should be started once the patient has lost consciousness and pulse. The ratio of chest compressions to ventilation is 30:2, meaning 30 chest compressions are performed first, followed by 2 rescue breaths, then repeated continuously until the patient's heart resumes normal function.
