What causes cardiac arrest after eating biscuits?
Disease description:
During the hospital stay, a patient suddenly suffered cardiac arrest while eating a biscuit. How could eating a biscuit lead to cardiac arrest?
Cardiac arrest after eating biscuits may be caused by factors such as airway obstruction. If there was prior palpitation, chest tightness, or premature beats, consuming weight-loss biscuits might trigger premature beats, or during biscuit consumption, airway blockage could occur, leading to cardiac arrest. Dynamic electrocardiography and echocardiography should be performed to preliminarily assess heart function. If cardiac arrest occurs, it is highly likely due to ventricular arrhythmia.
