The most typical and common symptom of vocal cord nodules is noticeable hoarseness, with the degree of voice impairment varying depending on the size of the nodules. Other symptoms include a foreign body sensation, burning sensation, dryness, and mild pain. These discomforts become particularly evident after prolonged speaking and may lessen or disappear after resting. Patients are advised to drink plenty of plain water and avoid spicy foods.
