Types of thyroid cancer
Disease description:
Previously, during a routine health check-up organized by my employer, I was found to have a thyroid nodule, but I didn't pay much attention to it. Recently, I've been feeling unwell frequently, so I went for a detailed examination and was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Doctor, what are the different types of thyroid cancer?
Thyroid cancer is generally classified based on the degree of differentiation and the tumor's cellular origin, primarily divided into four types: follicular thyroid carcinoma, papillary thyroid carcinoma, anaplastic thyroid carcinoma, and medullary thyroid carcinoma. Among these, papillary thyroid carcinoma is the most common. Thyroid cancer is a relatively common malignant tumor, although its exact cause remains unclear.
