Hemophilia is a group of inherited coagulation disorders, primarily caused by deficiency or dysfunction of clotting factor VIII (hemophilia A) or clotting factor IX (hemophilia B). These factors play a crucial role in the blood coagulation process, and their deficiency may lead to prolonged bleeding even after minor injuries. Hemophilia is typically inherited as an X-linked recessive trait, making it more common in males. Based on the level of clotting factor activity, hemophilia can be classified into mild, moderate, and severe forms, with varying degrees of bleeding tendency and symptom severity. Skin manifestations in individuals with hemophilia may include prolonged bleeding after minor injuries, bruising, or subcutaneous hematomas. These symptoms may occur following trivial bumps or friction in daily life and can even appear without obvious trauma. Bleeding involving the skin in hemophilia patients may require special attention and treatment to prevent further complications.
