What are the symptoms of hemophilia in babies?
Disease description:
I suddenly heard this morning that my neighbor's child has hemophilia. The child always seems lively, adorable, and especially healthy, so I found it hard to believe. I'd like to know what symptoms babies with hemophilia usually have?
Babies with hemophilia generally exhibit symptoms such as pale complexion and bleeding from the oral mucosa or teeth. Some affected infants may also experience decreased appetite, general weakness, hematuria (blood in urine), or bloody stools. Additionally, after minor activity or trauma, some babies with hemophilia may easily develop bleeding in joints such as the knees or ankles, joint hematomas, or localized skin bruising.
