For gastric ulcers, it is recommended to consume easily digestible and absorbable foods such as porridge, soft noodles, egg drop soup, steamed wheat buns, and light vegetables. In daily diet, moderate intake of protein-rich foods like chicken and fish is also acceptable. Avoid greasy foods such as fried items and fatty meats, and limit sugary foods. During gastric ulcers, the gastric mucosal barrier is damaged; consuming greasy, spicy, irritating, or sweet foods can increase gastric acid secretion, exacerbate mucosal barrier damage through mechanisms related to ulcer development, and hinder recovery.
