I had a test today, and the results showed high C-reactive protein, but I don't have a fever. What could be the reason?

Elevated C-reactive protein (CRP) indicates a bacterial infection. Elevated CRP without fever may be a normal bodily response, or it could still be due to a bacterial infection. Slightly elevated CRP without fever does not require treatment. However, if CRP is significantly elevated, follow medical advice and use appropriate antibiotics to which the bacteria are sensitive, such as cefixime or amoxicillin-clavulanate potassium.
