Forehead pain can be caused by various factors, such as fatigue, psychological factors, migraines, sinusitis, neuralgia, and others.

Extended late nights, general fatigue, or eye strain may cause aching pain between the eyebrows or at the root of the nose. In such cases, adequate rest and relief of eye strain are essential. Factors like excessive stress, emotional instability, and lack of sleep may exacerbate this pain.

Migraine sufferers sometimes experience forehead pain accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, sensitivity to light and sound. The frontal sinuses are located above the eye sockets, and inflammation in these sinuses can cause pain between the eyebrows, along with nasal congestion, runny nose, and other symptoms. Neuralgias, such as trigeminal neuralgia, can cause severe facial pain including the area between the eyebrows.

In addition, eye conditions such as dry eye syndrome, keratitis, and conjunctivitis may cause symptoms like dry eyes, red eyes, and pain, and in severe cases may even affect vision. Tension-type headaches also can cause such symptoms, often triggered by mental stress, fatigue, or poor posture.

If you experience persistent or severe forehead pain, it is recommended to seek medical evaluation to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment.
