The normal value for C-reactive protein (CRP) is <10 mg/L, and it is one of the clinical indicators used to assess the severity of infection. When a patient has a fever and undergoes a complete blood count test, the results often show elevated C-reactive protein levels, which may be caused by bacterial infection, viral infection, or acute inflammatory infection. Therefore, if a patient has high CRP levels, they are prone to fever, possibly due to factors such as bacterial infection, viral infection, or acute inflammation. Symptomatic treatment is recommended.
