During imaging examinations, if bone spurs (osteophytes) appear around the vertebrae in lumbar hyperostosis, a series of degenerative changes may occur, such as narrowing of joint spaces and vertebral deformities, which require appropriate treatment. If the local bone overgrowth is not severe, conservative treatment is recommended. This includes adequate rest, avoiding fatigue, applying heat therapy, and taking anti-hyperostosis tablets or Guciping tablets for treatment.
