How to know if you have mercury poisoning
Disease description:
Yesterday I broke a thermometer, and today I'm feeling a bit nauseous and have had diarrhea. How can I tell if I have mercury poisoning?
Symptoms of mercury poisoning can be identified through the digestive and nervous systems. Patients may experience diarrhea, abdominal pain, ulcers, redness of the oral mucosa, nausea, vomiting, and other symptoms. Mercury poisoning primarily manifests as tremors, paralysis, symptoms involving the pyramidal and extrapyramidal systems, dizziness, headache, transient disturbances of consciousness, and seizures. In cases of mercury poisoning, the stomach may be washed with warm water and vomiting induced; raw egg whites may also be taken, or soy milk consumed to help absorb the toxin.
