What to do for septic shock

Septic shock generally requires both anti-infective and anti-shock treatment. When the causative pathogen is not clearly identified in the early stage, antibiotics should be empirically selected based on clinical judgment, and broad-spectrum antibiotics may be used. If the pathogen has been identified through drug susceptibility testing, antibiotics should be rationally chosen according to the pathogen's sensitivity profile. Combination therapy with two or more antibiotics is commonly employed, while avoiding antibiotic overuse to prevent the development of resistance.
