What is brainstem hemorrhage?
Disease description:
Brainstem hemorrhage is the condition shown on my medical report. I'm feeling really unwell now—what exactly is brainstem hemorrhage?
Brainstem hemorrhage is caused by conditions such as hyperlipidemia and diabetes. Hyperlipidemia can lead to atherosclerosis due to arterial constriction, which may result in severe bleeding. Diabetes is another possible cause. In individuals with diabetes, fat metabolism is impaired, a condition associated with cerebral atherosclerosis. Smoking is also a significant factor, as it can induce vascular spasms, damage the inner lining of blood vessels, and thereby contribute to atherosclerosis.
