Patients with ovarian cysts can undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). If the ovarian cyst is physiological, IVF can proceed. However, if the cyst is pathological, it is best to undergo IVF after surgical removal, because ovulation-inducing medications used during IVF may stimulate the growth of ovarian cysts. Performing surgery during pregnancy could lead to miscarriage or premature delivery.
