A cyst in the left ovary does not prevent conception. A left ovarian cyst does not affect the ovulation function of the right ovary. As long as ovulation is normal and the uterus functions properly, pregnancy is possible. However, after becoming pregnant, due to increased levels of progesterone, the cyst may enlarge or rupture, leading to abdominal pain.
