If any abnormalities in the cervix are detected, a doctor can make a diagnosis. Additionally, TCT and HPV tests are recommended. TCT is a thin-layer liquid-based cytology test, while HPV screening aims to identify whether high-risk types of HPV virus that may lead to cervical cancer are present, determining if an infection exists.
