What discomforts does cervical cancer cause in the body?
Disease description:
My mom has recently been complaining of abdominal pain and bleeding. I suspect it might be cervical cancer. What discomforts does cervical cancer cause in the body?
Cervical cancer may cause discomfort such as vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge, and lower abdominal pain. In the early stages, bleeding upon contact is most common, often occurring after sexual intercourse or gynecological examinations. Irregular vaginal bleeding appears in the advanced stages. Younger patients may also experience prolonged menstrual periods and increased menstrual flow, while postmenopausal women may have irregular vaginal bleeding. The discharged fluid from the vagina can be clear white or blood-tinged, thin and watery or resembling rice water, often with a fishy odor. In later stages, inflammation may develop, leading to large amounts of purulent, foul-smelling vaginal discharge.
