Disease description:

Since I am already relatively overweight, I am planning to undergo liposuction in the near future. I would like to ask whether liposuction is generally very painful and whether it poses any risks or adverse effects on the body.

Fat reduction: Since individuals’ physical constitutions vary, the degree of pain experienced during liposuction also differs. Most patients do not feel pain during the procedure. Prior to liposuction, the surgeon injects an anesthetic tumescent solution into the treatment area; once anesthesia takes effect, liposuction is performed. A small number of patients exhibit low sensitivity to anesthetic agents, and as the anesthetic metabolizes over time, mild discomfort may occur mid-procedure. In such cases, the surgeon will administer additional tumescent anesthetic solution until the sensation of pain subsides, then continue with the procedure. I hope this information is helpful to you. Wishing you good health!
