My neighbor was hit on the head by something falling from upstairs. The doctor at the hospital said it was a mild concussion. I'd like to ask, what symptoms does this involve?

Dr. Bai Hongmei
Mild concussion primarily refers to temporary brain dysfunction following head trauma. In cases of mild concussion, patients may experience impaired consciousness, which is slight and short-lived. Typically, the period of unconsciousness lasts only a few seconds and does not exceed one minute. During unconsciousness, the limbs may appear weak and flaccid. Mild concussion may also manifest as amnesia, meaning that upon regaining consciousness, the patient cannot recall the circumstances of the injury or events shortly before it occurred.
