How to treat pituitary tumors

Currently, treatment options for pituitary tumors include surgery, medication, and radiation therapy. However, whether a patient with a pituitary tumor requires intervention and which treatment approach to choose depends on the individual patient's specific circumstances. Not all pituitary tumors require intervention. A pituitary tumor is a neoplasm originating from the pituitary gland, most of which are benign. Clinical manifestations may include symptoms caused by compression from the adenoma as well as symptoms resulting from abnormal hormone secretion. Most patients can return to normal life and work after appropriate treatment.
