Can adhesions still occur after menstruation following a人流 (abortion)?
Disease description:
After a miscarriage, I am prone to gynecological issues such as uterine adhesions, so I should take certain measures to prevent them. What about using medication, getting proper rest, or choosing specific foods? Even after menstruation resumes following an abortion, is there still a risk of adhesions?
Adhesions can still occur after menstruation following an abortion. When menstrual periods resume after a miscarriage or abortion, the likelihood of uterine adhesions is generally low, or the extent of adhesion is limited. If significant intrauterine adhesions are present after abortion, the endometrial surface area is reduced, and in severe cases, this may lead to amenorrhea (cessation of menstruation). However, mild adhesions may not affect menstruation but can still cause difficulties in conceiving. For women suspected of having intrauterine adhesions, hysteroscopy is recommended to diagnose and treat asymptomatic adhesions.
