Dr. Lin Yunfei
Cervical spondylosis with vascular and nerve compression can be treated through traction therapy. On one hand, cervical traction helps maintain the normal physiological curvature of the cervical spine. On the other hand, during cervical traction, the pressure within the intervertebral discs is reduced and the intervertebral foramen area is increased, thereby decreasing irritation and compression on nerves, effectively relieving early symptoms such as arm numbness and pain. During sleep, it is advisable to lie in a supine position with the head and neck kept in a naturally extended posture to allow the neck muscles to fully relax.
