Cervical spondylosis can cause high blood pressure. Patients with cervical spondylosis may experience elevated blood pressure, which is more common in those with sympathetic-type cervical spondylosis. Hyperplasia of the sympathetic nerves around the cervical vertebrae, vertebral compression accompanied by disc calcification, or changes in ligament curvature can increase sympathetic nerve excitability, leading to symptoms such as restlessness, chest tightness, and hypertension. Additionally, patients may suffer from insomnia, headache, and dizziness. In severe cases, changes in hearing and vision may also occur.
