Treatment of sequelae of traumatic brain injury
Disease description:
A relative suffered a head injury due to a collision. I would like to know what treatment options are available for the after-effects of traumatic brain injury?
Sequelae of traumatic brain injury include:
1. Motor dysfunction: hemiplegia, inability to move the hand on the upper limb, and inability to walk due to lower limb impairment;
2. Language dysfunction: slurred speech, poor articulation, or even inability to produce speech;
3. Emotional disorders: irritability and emotional disturbances;
4. Impaired comprehension and cognition: such as reduced calculation ability and memory;
5. Bladder and bowel dysfunction: requiring interventions such as urinary catheterization.
