People with hemophilia may develop bruising and swelling on the skin of areas such as the skin, mouth, and gums, especially after collisions, when symptoms become more apparent. Additionally, localized muscle swelling and restricted movement may occur after physical activity. Bleeding may be difficult to control following trauma or surgery, and there may even be unexplained blood in urine or stool.
