What should I do if a child has recurring fever? How can I reduce the fever?
Disease description:
The child has been having recurring fevers at home these past two days, which has never happened before. What should I do, and how can I reduce the fever?
If a child has recurrent fever with body temperature not exceeding 38.5°C, encourage drinking more warm water, which can promote metabolism and help the body dissipate heat. Wiping the forehead, groin, and other areas with lukewarm water may also be used to achieve physical cooling. If the body temperature exceeds 38.5°C, antipyretic medications such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen may be administered according to medical advice.
