Today at work, I noticed that many people around me have caught colds—some have wind-cold type colds, while others have wind-heat type colds. I'm worried about getting infected and would like to ask: are wind-cold and wind-heat colds contagious?

Wind-cold and wind-heat colds are generally contagious. When a person develops a cold, pathogenic microorganisms are usually present, which may be expelled into the air as droplets or aerosols through breathing, coughing, or close conversation. If people nearby have low resistance and come into contact with a large number of these pathogens, they may become infected.
