I've been experiencing nasal congestion frequently these past couple of days, which has affected my normal life and work. I wonder why people get nasal congestion?

Nasal congestion in humans may occur due to cold weather or wearing too little clothing, leading to a cold and increased nasal secretions. It could also be caused by pre-existing rhinitis; when bacteria, viruses, allergens, or other substances invade the nasal cavity, they may trigger nasal mucosal congestion, swelling, and exudation, resulting in symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, and nasal itching.
