What are the symptoms of hemophilia?
Disease description:
Recently, my gums have been bleeding constantly. After an examination, I found out it's hemophilia. I would like to know what symptoms hemophilia presents when it occurs?
When hemophilia occurs, patients tend to bleed easily from injuries to the skin, gums, nasal cavity, and other areas. The bleeding sites often show bruising and swelling. Frequent bleeding may lead to pallor of the skin and mucous membranes throughout the body. In some patients, bleeding following injury to joints such as the ankle, shoulder, or elbow can cause local redness, swelling, warmth, and pain, resulting in impaired joint movement. In later stages, this may lead to joint deformity and stiffness. Some patients may also experience blood in urine or stool.
