When a child develops a fever at night, measure their body temperature. If the temperature is below 38.5°C, use physical cooling methods such as reducing clothing, applying a cool towel to the forehead, or wiping the body with lukewarm water. If the temperature exceeds 38.5°C, administer antipyretic medications such as ibuprofen under medical guidance. At the same time, encourage the child to drink more water and ensure proper indoor ventilation. Seek prompt medical attention if symptoms persist or worsen, to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment. During care, ensure the child stays warm and gets adequate rest.
