Patients with cholecystitis should not eat salted duck eggs. Salted duck eggs contain a large amount of cholesterol—approximately 500 mg of cholesterol per 100 grams of egg. For individuals with cholecystitis, consuming salted duck eggs may accelerate bile emptying and gallbladder contraction, increasing the likelihood of pain and discomfort. This can worsen the condition and hinder recovery, and may also lead to complications such as high blood pressure or hyperlipidemia.
