Five major categories of antiplatelet drugs
I. Thromboxane A2 (TXA2) inhibitors, also known as cyclooxygenase inhibitors: aspirin, ozagrel sodium.
II. Adenosine diphosphate (ADP) P2Y12 receptor antagonists:
- Thienopyridines: clopidogrel, prasugrel
- Non-thienopyridines: ticagrelor
III. Phosphodiesterase 3 (PDE3) inhibitors: cilostazol, dipyridamole (Persantin).
IV. Platelet glycoprotein (GP) IIb/IIIa receptor antagonists (GPI):
- Non-peptide: tirofiban
- Peptide: eptifibatide
- Monoclonal antibody: abciximab
V. Multi-target inhibitor: indobufen tablets.
Patients must take medications according to medical advice.
