What is a pulmonary granulomatous nodule?

Pulmonary granulomatous nodules are a type of lung lesion characterized by the formation of granuloma-like structures in the lungs. These nodules typically develop when immune cells, such as macrophages, accumulate and proliferate locally in response to certain stimuli or injury in the lung tissue. Granulomatous nodules can be caused by various factors, including infections, foreign body reactions, and autoimmune diseases.
