Disease description:
What to do if your skin is sunburned by seawater
When the skin is sunburned by seawater exposure, the following measures can be taken for treatment:
1. Use normal saline for local cold compresses, 2–3 times daily, which helps alleviate peeling caused by sunburn.
2. Apply recombinant human epidermal growth factor gel to promote skin repair and healing.
3. For areas with obvious redness and swelling, topical treatment with desonide ointment may be used.
4. When going outdoors, take protective measures such as wearing long-sleeved clothing and using umbrellas to reduce ultraviolet radiation exposure.
5. Patients with severe sunburn may also consider vitamin C and vitamin E as adjunctive therapy.
If symptoms persist or worsen, prompt medical attention is recommended.
