Symptoms of advanced kidney cancer

In advanced stages of kidney cancer, symptoms become particularly pronounced. Patients experience significant weight loss, persistent pain in the lumbar region, and may be able to feel a palpable mass. Additionally, abnormal liver function and hypercalcemia are common complications. Some patients may also suffer from bone pain, coughing, or even hemoptysis (coughing up blood), all of which undoubtedly cause considerable suffering. As the condition progresses in late-stage renal cancer, chemotherapy and radiation therapy become effective treatment options, helping to inhibit further spread of cancer cells and thereby alleviating patient discomfort to some extent. Although the treatment process may present many challenges, patients and their families should actively cooperate and face the disease together, striving for better therapeutic outcomes.
