Preconception health screening includes various aspects. For women, examinations include gynecological evaluation to check for inflammation or tumors in the reproductive organs; routine vaginal discharge tests to detect infections such as vaginitis; sex hormone panel (six items) to assess endocrine function; thyroid function tests, as thyroid abnormalities may affect fertility and fetal development; TORCH screening to test for pathogens including toxoplasma and rubella virus; and pre-pregnancy panel (four items) to detect antibodies against rubella virus and cytomegalovirus.

For men, primary tests include routine semen analysis to evaluate sperm count, motility, and morphology; and reproductive system examination to identify any inflammation or developmental abnormalities of the genital organs. Additionally, both partners should undergo complete blood count, urinalysis, liver and kidney function tests, infectious disease screening (such as hepatitis B, syphilis, and HIV), electrocardiogram (ECG), and ultrasound (B-scan).

If you are planning a pregnancy, it is recommended to consult a physician for advice.
