The severity of endometrial polyps must be comprehensively evaluated by a qualified physician based on the patient's specific symptoms, the nature of the polyps, and any associated pathological changes. If a patient has a single, small endometrial polyp without symptoms such as abnormal bleeding or abdominal pain, the condition is generally not considered serious. However, if the patient has multiple polyps or large-diameter polyps, especially when accompanied by high-risk factors such as diabetes or obesity, and experiences symptoms including abdominal pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, or heavy menstrual flow, particularly with rapid polyp growth, this indicates a more severe condition. During diagnosis, the physician carefully analyzes the patient’s medical history, physical examination findings, and necessary imaging and histopathological test results to determine the size, location, and growth rate of the polyps, thereby accurately assessing the patient’s health status and formulating an appropriate treatment plan.
