Disease description:

After having an abortion procedure, I've been experiencing persistent pain in the pelvic area. Could this be due to poor recovery leading to endometritis? What are the symptoms of endometritis?

The symptoms of endometritis are varied and evident, mainly including: 1. Pelvic pain: Many patients experience a sensation of heaviness and pain in the lower abdomen, along with soreness in the lower back and sacral area, which often worsens during menstruation. 2. Menstrual abnormalities: These may include heavy menstrual bleeding, dysmenorrhea (painful periods), or prolonged menstrual periods. Women without a history of childbirth may primarily present with dysmenorrhea. 3. Abnormal vaginal discharge: Inflammation of the endometrium leads to increased glandular secretion, resulting in increased vaginal discharge. The discharge may be watery, pale yellow, blood-tinged, or purulent, and sometimes accompanied by a fishy odor. 4. Fever: During acute episodes, patients may develop mild to moderate fever. If the condition is not controlled, the fever may increase in severity. Given the diverse manifestations of endometritis, individuals experiencing the above symptoms should seek timely medical evaluation and treatment.
